My Little Models

I was told that I needed to update the family blog; and that Lindsey's photography blog doesn't count. Here are a few pics that Lindsey took a few weeks ago of the girls. She was practicing for the school pics that she does.

Martha Rob part II

I made this cake for our friend's (the Baddley's) son, Brig. It was his first birthday and I was tasked with making a "cool" cake. It was my first experience with fondant (made it myself). It actually was not that difficult, although very time consuming. But the cake turned out pretty good. Not too bad for my first one.

Martha Rob

We had a really nice Easter this year! The girls looked so pretty in their Easter dresses and loved their hats! We missed going to Cayucos this year but did enjoy a relaxing and enjoyable time with friends and family. We are so blessed. The kids all had a great time together and were of course very interested in finding Easter eggs and a visit from the Easter Bunny!!!

Life's Lessons

"Ava, Ava, can Daddy go now, can Daddy go now? He's going to do his very best!"

Isn't that a fine plea and statement to come out of the mouth of our almost 4 year old Zoie? This attitude however did not form on her own or over night. Who says the Wii is a waste of time?...Zoie is learning some of life's lessons through this fine piece of equipment! In the beginning the question was, "did you win" and if you did...all cheers! If you lost, Zoie was disappointed "awww you lost"? We figured this was not a healthy practice for such a small person. Rob has cut back his passion and intensity to win (at least when Zoie is involved) and we've realized that the Wii is just for fun! I would say that we are all happy with this conclusion. Much family bonding has come watching daddy score a perfect score on the heading, watching Zoie run like the wind (her personal favorite) and watching Ava block the tv (or catch the fish) personal favorite is the hula hoop in case you were interested! "Wii" are even working on being "Fit" in the mornings!

Music Time!

So, as you can see...the girls TOTALLY love going to Ms. Robyn & Ms. Kate's music time! We have been going for a while now. It is sooooo nice of them to do this for everyone: singing, marching, stories, dancing, & snack! Ava knows what to do, she has the whole routine down, she gets her own instrument and marches on her own even! It is fun to have this special activity on Wednesday mornings! Zoie is always asking is it preschool today? If the answer is no then, is it music class today? She loves having something to do to get us out of the house!

Happy Love Day!

We had a fun-filled Valentine's Day (& President's Weekend) this year! We went to Clovis to my Aunt Becky & Uncle Rick's house which is always a blast! My parents came (& their dogs) & so did my Aunt Stephanie with her 3 kids : Issac, Olivia, & James...Zoie loves every chance she gets to play with them!
We took a special Amtrak ride to Hanford (which is where my mom was born) and walked to Superior Dairy to have ice cream. I was really wishing I could just take pictures the whole is a really cool small town with a lot of character! It was Zoie's & Ava's first train ride & the whole day was quite a success!
